Speakers: Chris Meyer, Dave Roberts, and Spike Radway
Description: Join Extensis’ Dave Roberts (Community Engagement Program Manager) and Chris Meyer (Global Customer Insights Manager) as they discuss the benefits of using a font manager application in your design workflow with a demonstration of Suitcase Fusion. Dave and Chris will show us the many features of the different versions of Suitcase Fusion and help users improve their productivity and experience managing and using fonts.

Dave and Chris along with Spike will briefly discuss the "Current State of Fonts."  Graphic designers will want to be informed about how the impending discontinued support of Type 1 fonts by Adobe Creative Cloud will affect their current type libraries.

Speaker Bios:
Chris Meyer 
is a long-time veteran in the creative industry. Chris began his career in advertising and consumer magazine publishing field in New York City. In the early part of his career, he learned about the finer points of print publishing to create some of the most well-known global consumer and technology magazine brands. For the last two decades, he has been at Extensis helping customers create their best digital and font management experiences.

Dave Roberts comes to us with over 20 years’ experience in marketing and worked for several years in Cincinnati for the ad agency ‘mktg’ working with P&G, Fresh Express and Kroger amongst other brands. Currently Extensis’ Community Engagement Program Manager, Dave is tasked with building with an online community for design professionals.

Spike Radway is a CDPUG Founder and current Director of Programming for CDPUG. Spike's experience with fonts goes back to the Mac Plus, the first version PageMaker, and the Apple LaserWriter. Spike still has the battle scars he received during the "Font Wars" of the early days of Desktop Publishing. Spike is the president of Team Spike Consulting, a technology consulting and support business for visual artists.
