Join us for a presentation and panel discussion of  "What's New & What's Next with 3D Illustration & Augmented Reality (AR)."

Past CDPUG presenter, Bill Myers Director of Emerging Technology at S3 Technologies will begin the evening with a 20 minute overview presentation on the topic of 3D and AR. Bill's presentation will be specifically tailored to the interests of the Cleveland Digital Publishing Users Group (CDPUG) by giving us an overview of 3D and AR technologies while also describing the career opportunities available for graphic designers and visual communicators.

Following the overview presentation, Bill will moderate a diverse panel of local experts discussing new and emerging topics in the area of 3D and AR.

Moderator: 
Bill Myers is Director of Emerging Technology at S3 Technologies. Bill works to lower the barrier of entry for those looking to become AR and VR developers and/or enthusiasts through the organization of virtual reality meetups in Akron and Cleveland Ohio with over 1,100 members.  In 2017, he founded New Territory, a company that creates virtual and augmented reality experiences for customers around the world. In January 2020, New Territory was acquired by S3 Technologies and is the Director of Emerging Technology, a role designed to provide both XR and other forms of bleeding-edge technology solutions to customers.

Navah Berg. CLE native Navah Berg is a Digital Marketing professional with a twist of Social VR enthusiasm taking communication to the next level with true presence through Augmented Reality, Virtual Reality, and social media. Navah was on Virtual Umbrellas 2019 TOP 50 VR People to Follow list and recently listed in Base Reality’s 25 Most Influential Women to Follow in VR in 2020. Herb Schilling is a Computer Scientist at NASA Glenn Research Center, Team Lead Scientific Computing and Graphics

 

 

 

 

Marty Tarr is CEO of 360 Alley, an Augmented Reality (AR) development and strategic advisory firm. His mission at 360 Alley is to help organizations increase customer engagement and create interactive immersive experiences. 360 Alley has developed over 40 interactive children’s books that can be found in Target, Walmart, CVS, and Dollar Tree. Client experiences include the use of the Microsoft Hololens and mobile devices in art galleries, museums, innovation studios, casinos, and retail outlets.

 

King Henry Lee is a product of the Cleveland Institute of Art and Tri-C, Henry's diverse background includes Industrial Design, Illustration, Desktop Publishing and Computer Science. Over the last 2 decades he has worked in the packaging and printing industries and is a long time employee at Copy King. Henry is also a past president and frequent presenter to CDPUG.
